Research Postgraduate Programmes

Research and professional doctorate programmes offered by HKMU’s five Schools.

Entry Requirement

Applicants shall possess a recognised first or second upper class honours degree from a tertiary education institution; or any other equivalent qualifications, or provide evidence of academic and professional attainments.
 

Applicants for MPhil/PhD programmes should consult our research staff regarding their research proposal before submitting an application to the University.

Master of Philosophy (MPhil)

The Master of Philosophy is offered by the following Schools. A candidate shall complete a thesis by research under the supervision of one to two academic staff.

An applicant is expected to have discussed his/her proposed field of study with the academic staff in the relevant School before submitting a formal application.
