Taught Postgraduate Admissions

Overview

As part of the admission process, applicants are required to upload the following documents under the “Supporting Documents” section in the online application form before submitting their applications.
No hard copy of supporting documents sent by applicants will be accepted unless otherwise requested by the University. Any submitted documents will NOT be returned.
The University reserves the right to revoke admissions to applicants who fail to provide original documents to the University
Applicants who submitted applications close to the end of the application period should make sure all necessary supporting documents are uploaded for the University’s consideration. Applicants may be required to supplement documents within 3 days from the date of application, otherwise the University may not be able to assess the application for the current admission cycle due to insufficient documents. It is the responsibility of the applicants to ensure documents are submitted in full for consideration.

Compulsory Documents Required

  • Local Applicants – A copy of HKID card
  • Overseas Applicants – A copy of passport or other identity proof
  • Mainland Applicants – A copy of PRC identity card and passport / exit-entry permit for travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao

For academic qualifications obtained in Chinese mainland

  • Official academic transcripts of ALL your academic qualifications (e.g. Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, Junior College, or any other relevant qualifications) with final results and official stamp
  • Official graduation certificates of ALL your academic qualifications (e.g. Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, Junior College, or any other relevant qualifications)
  • Award certificate of Bachelor’s Degree (學士學位證書)
  • Online Verification Report of Higher Education Qualification Certificate《教育部學歷證書電子註冊備案表》and Online Verification Report of Higher Education Degree Certificate《中國⾼等教育學位在線驗證報告》issued by the China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center (CHESICC) (學信網)

(Please set the validity period of the report as either 6 months or the longest available.)

For academic qualifications obtained in local institutions or non-local institutions other than Chinese mainland

  • Official academic transcripts of ALL your academic qualifications (e.g. Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, Junior College, or any other relevant qualifications) with final results and official stamp
  • Official graduation certificates of ALL your academic qualifications (e.g. Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, Junior College, or any other relevant qualifications)
  • Overseas Credential Evaluation Report《國(境)外學歷學位認證書》issued by Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) (教育部留學服務中心)
  • Qualification Assessment Report issued by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic & Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) (香港學術及職業資歷評審局) (Hard Copy Only)

For graduating students

  • Official academic transcript issued by the current institution with most recent results and official stamp
  • Certificate of Enrollment issued by the current institution confirming your registration status and anticipated graduation details
  • Online Verification Report of Student Record《教育部學籍線上驗證報告》issued by the China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center (CHESICC) (學信網) (for academic qualifications obtained in Chinese mainland)

Proof of medium of instruction

Applicants applying to a programme that is bilingual or adopts English as the medium of instruction must upload a copy of an official supporting document certifying that their Bachelor’s degree was taught and assessed with English as the medium of instruction.

Accepted English proficiency test results

Applicants applying to a programme that is bilingual or adopts English as the medium of instruction must meet the following English language proficiency requirements if their Bachelor’s Degrees or equivalent qualification did not adopt English as the medium of instruction. TOEFL, IELTS and CET-6 scores are accepted for up to 2 years from the test date until the application form submission date.

  • English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE)
  • TOEFL – paper-delivered / iBT
    Test result of Home Edition is not accepted
  • IELTS Academic Test Report Form (TRF)
    Test results obtained in the same attempt are required. IELTS Online is not accepted.
  • Official CET-6 test results
